Select a roster of players that will accumulate points throughout golf’s 4 Major Tournaments played during the 2011 season.

The Top Ten teams to accumulate the most points in the standings will receive a prize:
1st - $1,000
2nd - $400
3rd - $300
4th - $250
5th - $200
6th - $150
7th - $125
8th - $100
9th - $75
10th - $50
Create Your Team
- STANIMA will present 6 different selection Groups of professional golfers eligible to play in the Major tournaments of 2011.
- Selection Groups 1-5 will be comprised of 10 golfers in each group.
- Selection Group 6 will be comprised of 200 golfers.
- Contestants create a roster by selecting players from each group using the following guidelines:
Group 1 - 3 players
Group 2 – 2 players
Group 3 – 2 players
Group 4 – 2 players
Group 5 – 2 players
Group 6 – 3 players
Player Selection Group Composition
- Selection Groups 1-5 will be comprised of the World Golf Rankings (WGR) top 50 players as they are represented in the rankings as of March 30th, 2011.
Group 1 will be comprised of the top 1st-10th ranked players in the WGR.
Group 2 will be comprised of the 11th-20th ranked players in the WGR.
Group 3 will be comprised of the 21st-30th ranked players in the WGR.
Group 4 will be comprised of the 31st-40th ranked players in the WGR.
Group 5 will be comprised of the 41st-50th ranked players in the WGR.
Group 6 will be comprised of ALL players NOT listed in any of the first 5 player selection Groups. This will include all of the players ranked 51st-250th in the WGR.
Game and Scoring Format
- Every roster will accumulate points once The Masters tees off on April 7.
- All rosters will LOCK at 6am CT on Thursday April 7, and will remain LOCKED thru the final hole of the PGA Championship tentatively scheduled to be played on Sunday August 14. This means that the same 14 golfers will be locked in and representing your team at each of the 4 Major Championships.
- The winning entry will be the team with the highest amount of STANIMA Fantasy Points at the conclusion of the PGA Championship tentatively scheduled to be played on August 14, 2011.
- STANIMA Points will be accumulated using the following scoring system:
$1 earned = 1 Point
Example: Player “X” who finished 1st Place at The Masters in 2010 won $1,350,000, thus accumulating 1,350,000 STANIMA Points.
Player “Y” who finished 2nd Place at The Masters in 2010 won $810,000, thus accumulating 810,000 STANIMA Points.
Player “Z” who missed the cut at The Masters in 2010 did not win any prize money ($0), thus accumulating 0 (ZERO) STANIMA Points.
Special Notes:
- It may not be the case that every golfer will play in ALL 4 of Golf’s Major Championships. Each Major has its own unique set of qualification criteria. Make sure that the golfers you select have a strong chance to play and earn STANIMA Points for your team in ALL 4 Majors.
- Each of Golf’s Major tournaments play to the different strengths of a player. Usually, the Open Championship favors links style play, The Masters puts a premium on putting, and The U.S. Open favors players who are straight and accurate off the tee.
- The Masters is always played at Augusta National in Georgia, but the other 3 Majors rotate the courses where the Championship is played. Having a basic knowledge of the course may help you in determining which golfers to select for your team. The 2011 host venues for the other 3 Majors are:
o U.S. Open – Congressional Country Club (Blue Course), Bethesda, MD, USA.
o Open Championship (British) – Royal St. George’s, Sandwich, Kent, England.
o PGA Championship – Atlanta Athletic Club, Johns Creek , GA, USA
